The Alabama Criminal Records System is run by a partnership between Alabama Department of Public Safety (DPS), Alabama Administrative Office of Courts (AOC) and the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center (ACJIC).

The individuals court date and time, name of the court room, case file number, the charge before the court case starts, the disposition, and the action of the court are all provided here. One other thing to mention is the fact that the Alabama Criminal Records system does not look up searches for search warrants, sex offenders, divorce, civil, or public records.

The Alabama Criminal Records System is only available to these 4 employer types:

Agricultural Employer
NonFarm Business Employer
Government Employer
Household Domestic Employer

So unfortunately the Alabama Criminal Records System is only usable by a verified business entity.

How Much Does the Alabama Criminal Records System Cost?
Each criminal records search cost $25 irregardless of the results returned, and in addition to this repetitive charge there is also an annual subscription of $75 that one must pay towards the maintenance of this database.

What Information is Needed to Perform an Alabama Criminal Records Search?
There are a few things that you’ll need in order to conduct an Alabama background check. First and foremost you’ll need the employees first name, middle name, last name, their sex, and race. Secondly date of birth, Alabama driver license number, and social security number. And lastly you’ll need a signed waiver from the prospective employee called a Criminal History Record (CHR) report waiver.
